NEW Office of Innovation Scholarship

DEADLINE: May 15, 2020


The purpose of the Office of Innovation Scholarship is to recruit and retain Christ-honoring innovators and entrepreneurs, globally, for all majors at Biola. Eligible Students All traditional undergrad and graduate students at Biola are eligible. This is available to both new and continuing students and can be renewed. Scholarship Criteria 1. Candidates must clearly demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and show alignment with the mission, and goals of the Office of Innovation. 2. Candidates must show potential to have a significant impact on a specific industry or country. 3. Students are encouraged to be an active member of the Biola Entrepreneurship Society.  4. Students will be asked to write an essay explaining how they would benefit from the Innovation Scholarship. 5. Students must submit letter(s) of recommendation that demonstrate a student’s academic abilities, spiritual maturity, and entrepreneurial spirit. 6. Scholarships can be renewed for a maximum of 4 years based on a re-application process.  Application Link

Biola’s Office of Innovation (OOI) exists to empower Biola University faculty, staff, and students to take steps toward innovative and entrepreneurial success by facilitating educational experiences and leveraging the intellectual and spiritual strengths of Biola, to offer financial, practical, social, and mentorship opportunities that address societal and business problems. The OOI is established to strengthen the adoption of innovative and entrepreneurial ideas across campus, including faculty and students. As such, participation from all schools across Biola will best help this OOI accomplish its mission.  The OOI reports to the Office of the Provost.
